About Marcia

Since 1984, Marcia Hoeck (heck), president and CEO of Hoeck Associates, Inc. has helped regional and international organizations generate millions of dollars in revenue and save millions of dollars in costs by targeting and integrating communications. Hoeck Associates is headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, with offices in Phoenix and Detroit.

As a branding and communications strategist, Marcia uses her unique perspective into customer and employee perceptions to strengthen brands, increase sales, and improve performance.

“In today’s world, we can’t pour a lot of words and explanations on people and expect them to act in a way that’s beneficial to the organization, either by buying the organization’s products or supporting the organization internally,” she says. “We need to hit customers and employees between the eyes with our messages, to show meaning in clear, consistent, and immediately understandable ways that will connect with them at a deep level.”

Marcia has won numerous honors, including awards from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), The Association for Women in Communications (AWC), and the Advertising Clubs of Toledo and Detroit. Her work and articles have been published in B2B Marketing Trends, IABC Communication World, HOW magazine, Print magazine, and other marketing and communications publications. Her comments have appeared in HOW magazine and PROFIT magazine, the Canadian magazine for business entrepreneurs. Marcia is a founding member of the Strategic Marketing Roundtable, an international association created to stay on top of marketing trends that impact clients, share best practices, and consult with international experts on ways to strengthen communications and build brand equity for clients.

Sought after for her expertise, Marcia has been a featured speaker and discussion panel participant for business groups and associations on topics concerning marketing communications and branding.

Marcia is a graduate of Ohio University, and regularly studies business, branding, communications, and marketing through Harvard Business School, the Design Management Institute, HOW magazine, the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, and many other organizations. She is a board member for Diabetes Youth Services, a regional program providing education and support for children with diabetes and their families.

Marcia lives in Grosse Ile, Michigan, with her husband and dogs, Amazing Grace, a bichon, and Liesl Diesel Weasel Bezo, a miniature long hair dachshund, who needs a long name.
